Maybe because the owner (Johanna) is no longer there.It rains every day, high humidity, there are no activities to do besides the work. Regarding the place, the venue is nice and peaceful but it's kinda death and with a bit of depressing energy. I left after 4/5 days because one of the volunteers were driving away for a couple of days and since this place is located quite remote and secluded with no public transport around then I thought that it was a good idea to join her and she dropped me along the way so I could continue my travel.Noba had been informed and totally fine about this. I collaborated with the washing, with the cleaning and also I offered my experience as a bartender to make some cocktails for the guests and volunteers which everyone gladly accepted. I came to this place because of the many previous good feedbacks but I haven't had the chance to meet Johanna unfortunately, and instead the communication was with Noba, a woman that is running the place nowadays. If you have any questions, please send us a mail. Approximate hours is 5 hours per day, two days a week free. We are fair and like to have a situation where every one is happy. We appreciate if you can be flexible with the hours as every day is different. When it is more quiet there is marketing & social media work. A lot of the time we need help with cleaning, gardening, cooking and different projects. Sometimes we have many guests and sometimes it is totally quiet. It is important for us that you are an open person, easy going, dynamic, and willing to get involved in the atmosphere of our retreat centre. This is a positive environment, tranquil and fun. Apart form groups we have vacation rental accommodation through bnb and wind and kite surfing site. We also offer classes to the community and to travelers. We host retreats such as yoga, transformation and healing, creativity, dance and movement. The retreat center and lodge has been running for about nine years. You will feel like being embraced by nature and we have many animal visitors daily. We are right by a jungle with a pristine river running through the property.
